Welcome

The portfolio of the Institute of Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning and Garden Art includes the BSc programme in landscape engineering, the MSc programmes in Landscape Architecture and Urban Engineering, the MA programme in Landscape Architecture and Garden Art, and the PhD programme in Landscape Architecture, in line with the needs of the country and the profession, and the demands of the international market. The Institute's 58 staff members are committed to education, and to providing knowledge and skills needed to become a professional. We are training professionals in landscape planning and landscape design, construction, maintenance, in developing professional policy framework and guidelines, who are able to identify and anticipate global and local issues in landscape and environmental management, spatial planning and urban development, to manage conflicts in principle and in practice, to shape the human environment creatively and to work productively with local communities. The teaching and research experience at the Institute and the tradition of a technical-architectural training started on the basis of ornamental horticulture guarantee the interdisciplinary knowledge required today, as well as the broad vision and approach on the basis of which the Institute's training is recognised by national and international accreditation. Our influential professors, who have developed the school, have always been recognised representatives of the profession, teachers and designers, who have laid a solid training foundation that is still valid today. The Institute is active in professional circles at home and abroad and has a graduate placement rate of over 90%. This rate is a clear indication of the high quality of the training and the social prestige of the landscape architecture profession.
